Once again we adhered to our tradition of avoiding red carpets for award ceremonies. And once again we impressed the guests by turning the ceremony into a court hearing at the theater on Malaya Bronnaya. Actors recited excerpts from Brodsky's and Paradzhanov's speeches, as well as from the President's address to the Federal Assembly.
